I get the following error message when trying to access the thread "EB2-EB3 Predictions (Rather Calculations).."
This webpage has a redirect loop.
The webpage at http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/forum2-retrogression-priority-dates-and-visa-bulletins/1331594-eb2-eb3-predictions-rather-calculations-294.html#post1963467 has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

Today my lawyer sent me my receipt numbers for 485, EAD and AP. when I enter my AP receipt number to check online status I see the following...
Application Type: OS155A, IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION
Current Status: Card production ordered.
On August 30, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
Anyone know what this means... It doesn't say I-131 in application type..

On August 23, 2007, we rejected your fingerprint fee and mailed you instructions for how to submit the necessary payment. This case is now in suspense. Please submit your payment with our notice as soon as possible after you receive our notice so we may resume processing of this case.
My lawyer says the checks have been cashed and we have proof of this.. She says it can be a typo..
Most weird part is for my EAD it says card has been ordered.. but I haven't even done finger prints and my 485 is in suspense..
Anyone any idea whats happening.. should I be worried about OS155A and 485 things..

All,
My 4 years and 2 months on H1B will finish in this November and we are in the process of applying for an extension. I have my 140 approved and waiting for my priority date to become current.
Can I apply for 3 years extension based on my 140 approval? or do I have to apply for 2 yrs extension to finish my 6 yrs first and then eligible to apply for 3 more years (if my priority date is still not current by then?). My HR is under the second impression (2 yrs and then 3 yrs).
Also, please can you specify the USCIS rule under which it is applicable?

You can apply directly for a 3 year extension based on your I-140 approval.

I have one suggestion for the website.. Search engines are usually parameters-averse. For instance Google claims they may stop crawling if the links have too many parameters. The non-forum part of this Joomla powered website mostly utilize &s and ?s parameters in the URL.
The Joomla installation comes with an SEF component that converts &s and ?s into comma-separated directory structures.. You guys can turn it on in the admin panel. The conversion makes the URL look even uglier but it is at least SEF-compliant. Or there are other third party Joomla components that do a better job (though may require slightly more tuning)

Hi,
My current visa status is H4. As i cannot work on this visa, I am interested in doing an Unpaid Internship. Please clarify whether I can do so on an H4 visa.
I'm trying to secure the internship in a nonprofit organisation. Will there be an exception for them, in case it's not allowed otherwise?

AFAIK, you can do volunteer work without restrictions, provided this truly is a volunteer work; i.e., there is no employer-employee relationship, and you are not working in anticipation that you will be hired in near future based on your current work.
Maybe a good test is, if the nonprofit organization requires your SSN before they would allow you to work, then you may not do that work on H4.

You message is not clear. Are you saying he cannot work without getting a new H1. If he needs to get a new H1, then he needs to go out of the country for more than a year and come back later with a new H1.
I beleive, he can do H1 transfer. By the way, the new company should also start your labor and I140. Still you can port your PD if you have already 140 approved.

My wife is currently in the US on H4 Status and she is taking classes at a local university on a part time basis.
We are planning to go for our visa revalidation next month.
How should i answer DS 156 Question #33.Do you intend to study in the US? for my wife?
I think i should answer yes since she will continue taking classes after we come back to the US. Will this be an issue since she is on H4?

You have 2 options. Either use your old H1 which is still valid (assuming u still have a valid visa stamp) and enter US (carry a latest offer letter from employer). If you use the old H1, then you will only have 2 more years of H1 time left.
You can file for a fresh H1 visa in Master's quota under consular processing and when its approved, attend the Visa interview, get a new H1 stamp, and re-enter using the fresh stamp. This way, you will get fresh 6 yrs time on H1.
