We are posting the recent list of petitioners who received an approval in FY09 of Form I-129, requesting initial H-1B status for the beneficiary employee. Approximately 3,000 initial H-1B petitions are not accounted for on this list due to missing petitioner tax ID numbers.
While the full official final list of biggest H1B visa employers for FY2010 for the season has not been released, this preliminary list has been released for the Top employers this past US immigration year.
An H1B visa is a temporary working visa for professional positions, which allows foreign nationals to live and work in the U.S. for up to six years. This visa is an important tool for any employer to get the highly qualified technical expertise it needs to operate and grow its business.
If you compare the top 25 employers of US visas in 2009 to the past Top 100 H1B visa employers of FY2009, that many companies like InfoSys, Tata and Satyam have dropped substantially both in the number of US visas for foreigners applied for and their overall rank. In the cases of Tata and Satyam, they are not even on this top list anymore.
This further shows again both the fallacy of the arguments perpetuated by bigots in the US Congress and the US media about foreign companies (mainly Indian) taking the jobs of US citizens.

I know that PERM labor gets expired if one does not file I-140 within 180 days of labor's approval date.
I am wondering if DOL has any procedure to revive expired approved/unused PERM by filing some sort of request/appeal or by paying some sort of fees etc. or if not ,then one files a new PERM by referring the old unused approved labor for the same job and same person then DOL can give an expedited approval.
Short answer is NO.
You have to file a new PERM and it will be processed in the existing processing times unless its a special handling case (University profs, etc) which currently is taking around 4 months to get a PERM approval.

You have to be "in-status" to apply for AOS. The IO wants evidence of your continued non-immigrant status before you filed your AOS. Also, remember AOS does not grant you a status. It just lets you not accrue unlawful presence

You can go to any industry financial, insurance, pharma etc but your job and duties should be similar to your current one. If your current position is *mathematician* and your new job says "consultant" it will catch the officer's attension easily. But from other threads in understood that your job description should be similar to your current ones. Please go thru some IV threads.

I have filed I-485 in Aug2007 and am in retrogression. I am currently working for my sponsoring employer on H1 but also have EAD and AP. I have to go to India to address parents health issues and may have to stay there for possibly 6-9 months. I plan on re-entering using AP.
1) Will my GC application stay active if I am gone for such a long time?
2) My fingerprinting was done long ago - do I need to be in US when my case is adjudicated and GC approval is sent in the mail?
3) Since I will lose my current job due to the long absence, will that be an issue at POA since I wont have a current job or a job offer letter to show the IO?

Hi company A applied for my H1 in april 1st week.
they have got 2 rfe so far and now i am not interested in working with them(they also dont seem interested in replying to the 2nd rfe)
Another company is interested in filing my h1b.
what is the safest way to go about doing this.
should i let company B know that i filed with company A before.
Also will there be any problem in getting H1b approved because of my earlier filing

California does not issue "enhanced driver's licenses." (Enhanced driver's licenses contain multiple levels of security features.) You must therefore have proof of citizenship as indicated above or proof of lawful permanent residence (i.e., "green card"), or proof of some other kind of non-immigrant status in order to be able to return to the United States.

Does anyone know what email / letter(s) one should get when the GC is approved ?
I received this email two days ago:
On November 13, 2006, a welcome notice was mailed for this case. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 during business hours.
Does this constitute as a GC approval ?
I read in other threads that a "card ordered" email follows the GC approval but I haven't received the email (nor the physical card yet).
Does it normally take 1 or more weeks for the physical card to arrive after approval ?

You can use RichTextBox for inlining hyperlinks. It is available in WPF and Silverlight 4 projects. Your hyperlink can even be a path to a file :)

FYI...Anybody who has an appointment for a Visa stamping on Oct 1st at the U.S Consulate in Chennai, India, please contact the VFS office (91-44-4231-6767) to find out your new date of appointment (which the Consulate says, will be in the same week), if they have not intimated you by email already.

I had this experience in the past...when my H1 Extension is applied sometime back, they gave me a new i-94 number (probably due to an error)....however, when I left the country for a vacation, I stapled & returned both I-94's as per my attorney's suggestion (through my emp)...
