In the US, attorney ethics rules vary somewhat from state to state. In most states, you are clearly entitled to all substantive materials contained in your case file. Unless the retainer/fee agreement clearly obligates you to pay for copying costs in this circumstance, the law firm should give you the documents you want without charge.

Excerpt from form i485: Part 3. Processing information:
Please answer the following questions. (If your answer is "Yes" on any one of these questions, explain on a separate piece of paper and refer to "What Are the General Filing Instructions? Initial Evidence" to determine what documentation to include with your application. Answering "Yes" does not necessarily mean that you are not entitled to adjust status or register for permanent residence.)
Have you ever, in or outside the United States: knowingly committed any crime of moral turpitude or a drug-related offense for which you have not been arrested?
---------
It is NOT reason enough to deny the application - but like piyu7444 said, this will be another hurdle to cross. You need to submit initial evidence relating to this incident. Please consult an immigration attorney

You'd have to reapply for I140 for the new company. The one you had approved for the old company will not be valid for the new company.

I'm going to Vancouver for H1B stamping next week along with my spouse. My understanding is that $150 is the application fee but I'm not sure if it is $150 for entire application (H1 + H4) or is it $300 ($150 for myself and $150 for my wife).
Can someone please clarify? and if I need to have separate Scotia bank receipts for myself and my wife?

Hi,
I am unable to determine if the 180 day timeline is calculated from RD or ND? There are different opinions here in this forum and no clear answer. Is there a law text that defines this clearly...does anybody know?
yea...I did search this and some of the other forums
Tanks

Can we make use of this town hall meeting? Any Idea?

Town Hall meetings are an excellent chance for you to show your Members of Congress that positive immigration legislation is a priority for their constituents. Check this calendar so you don't miss these opportunities to ask your legislators for their positions on immigration, and tell them yours!

My in-laws came to visit us on vistor visa(B1/B2) .
They got 6 month of stay in their I-94.
My father-in-law left US 2 day's before I -94 expiry but with my mother-in-law's I-94. Before he left I applied for the extension of stay(I539) for my Mother-in-law.
Her I-539 got denied stating the person has already left.
Now in my mother-in-law's passport we have my father-in-law's I-94. So actually at the port of entry the officer switched the I-94's.
Now the question is now how to handle the denial of extension for mother-in-law and get new I-94? and what to do with father-in-law's I-94.

Soumya,
Very legitimate question- don't know if anyone here will have a good answer (I hope so) but I hope you get your problem solved. I would advise a consultation with a good attorney, this is a very important matter for you. Some attorney's will answer an initial question free on the web- gives you some preliminary info.
All the best!
Look into the USCIS travelors information website. That has a seperate FAQ for adoption.

Obviously the final verdict will come down once the camera is in use, but I'm curious to know if the specs for Nikon's D2X meets the expectations of Nikon shooters.

My employer will not withdraw my I-140. Should I still go ahead with AC21 or should I just do change of address with USCIS?
I will be starting my new job pretty soon. Any useful suggestions appreciated.
Thanks!

Surely won't fly.
I-140 doesn't belong to the employee. Period.
Then ownership of I-140 needs to change as well. Maybe this is something we could all work in the long term.... and not an immediate goal at this time. Of'course this will need help from everybody on the forums. Something like this is sure to help all of us.
